Kidkast Book a Class

Booking and trials

How do I book a class at Kidkast?
Not Sure Which Class?

Try a trial class — you only pay per class, so you can decide if it's the right one before signing up.

Trials run for the next four weeks; if we're between terms with no classes coming up, you'll be offered the waiting list instead.

What happens after I book a trial?

Once you've entered your details and made payment, we'll email you on the morning of your trial class as a reminder. Come along and take the class — afterwards, we'll email you to find out how you enjoyed it and ask if you'd like to join. It's as simple as that.

Can I book a trial at any point during the term, or only at the start?

Anytime. Trials run throughout the term, not just at the start.

What if there are no trial dates showing for the class I want?

That usually means we're between terms. Check the Calendar page for the next term start date, or get in touch and we'll let you know when bookings open.

Waiting lists

What if the class I want is full?

You can join the waiting list from the Classes page. No payment is needed and we'll contact you as soon as a place comes up.

No, camps are open to everyone, whether you're with us already or trying us out for the first time.

Fees

How much are classes?

Fees are billed in advance for each 9-week term, based on total class time per week. The more hours your family takes, the better the rate per hour — this applies whether that's one child taking several classes or siblings added together.

½ hour€90 per term
¾ hour€101.25 per term
1 hour€108 per term
2 hours€198 per term

The scale continues up to 25 hours a week. Get in touch for your exact rate.

Is there a discount for siblings or multiple classes?

Fees are based on total weekly hours across the family, so more hours automatically means a better rate. There's no separate discount to apply for — it's built in.

Do I pay for missed classes?

Classes are booked and paid for per term, in advance. As fees cover the term rather than individual sessions, there's no reduction for days missed.

Can I join partway through a term?

Yes, most of the time. Fees are calculated from the date you start. Some classes close to new joiners in the run-up to a show or exam, since the group needs to work together without disruption at those times.

Can I cancel at any stage?

Yes. Trials come with no commitment. Once a class is booked, the term fee isn't refundable, but a student can leave at any point and you just won't be billed for future terms.

Our calendar and terms

How is the school year structured?

Four terms a year, nine weeks each, starting in September and finishing the following June. All term dates are listed on our Calendar page.

What term are we currently in?

Check our Calendar page for the latest term dates.

Do I need to re-book every term?

No. It's our policy that students roll over from term to term unless we hear otherwise. We'll email, text, and post in the school WhatsApp group before each new term, but unless you're making a change, there's nothing you need to do. We hope your child starts with us at three and stays right through to eighteen.

Shows, performances and competitions

What shows does Kidkast put on?

March/April — a show for our Collon school.

March/April — a show for our Drama students.

Bank Holiday Sunday in June — the whole school end-of-year show.

July — the Summer Camp show.

Exact dates go up on the Calendar each year.

Do you compete in dance and drama competitions?

We do take part from time to time, but Kidkast isn't a competition school. Our focus is performance, shows, exams, and building confidence on stage.

Do students have to take part in shows or competitions?

No. Kidkast is a no-pressure school, and nobody is forced to take part in anything they are not comfortable with. We will encourage students to take part in shows, as they are a very positive and always enjoyable experience for our students. Our competition teams are open to all, and we operate an inclusive policy.

Parents in class

Can parents come into class with their child?

We completely understand the importance of being there for your child on their first day, and parents are always welcome to help settle them in. Once they're comfortable, we do ask that you step out of the studio, though you're more than welcome to wait in the building.

We prefer a parent-free studio for safety and focus. Our studios can get busy, particularly on Saturdays, and we've developed a drop-off system that keeps things running smoothly. Students also tend to settle faster without a parent present, something we've seen time and again over the years.

All our helpers are senior Kidkast students who remember their own first day and make a point of helping new students feel welcome.

Communication

How do you keep parents updated?

Email, SMS, and our school WhatsApp group, for term reminders, class changes, shows, camps, and anything else worth knowing.
