One Night Only – Our End Of Year Presentation

One Night Only – Our End Of Year Presentation

Kidkast presents our end of year production – For One Night Only – which takes place in the The TLT Theatre on Saturday 4th June 2022 at both 2pm & 6.30pm.

Ticket Sales

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online by clicking this link or by calling the box office in The TLT on 041 987 8560. There is no need to purchase tickets for your child if they are taking part as all cast members will be backstage or on the balcony during the show.

Who Takes Part

This is our big end of year presentation, and all students from Dance and Musical Theatre classes are invited to take part.  Our Drama students will not take part in this show as they will have their own production later in the year. Each class has been working on a piece to showcase.  We have over 70 classes taking part, so it will be an entertaining and diverse production.  Please note : Classes for ages 4-7 years will only take part in the show at 2pm and all other classes will take part in both shows (important when booking tickets).

Extra Rehearsals

Some classes will be called for extra rehearsals and we will email those classes directly. Also in the week run up to the show we will hold extra rehearsals in the theatre which will be from Monday 30th May ro Saturday 4th June.  Full details of any extra rehearsals will be emailed in advance.

Costumes

It is an arduous task to costume a show of this size, and the renting, purchasing and making costumes is well underway. Costume fittings will take place during rehearsal and class time over the next two weeks. Classes will be notified individually of what they will need to wear (shoes, socks etc.) , how hair should be worn and when their rehearsal time is.

Missing The Show?

If your child is not taking part in the show, PLEASE let us know ASAP so teachers can plan accordingly.  Also be aware that if students miss either performance, it will affect fellow performers and the overall look and quality of the show.  Please let us know if there is a possibility your child will miss either the 2pm or 6.30pm show.

Call Out For Chaperones / Backstage Help

As always, we rely on the help of parents to chaperone the students backstage at the shows.  Please let us know if you are available to help at either show, with supervision, costume changes etc. Please be aware that you may not be allocated to the group that your child is in when volunteering to help.  We are so grateful to those parents who have been so supportive and invaluable backstage, over previous performances, and events as we could not have done it without the help.

What To Do Next

Please don’t miss any classes between now and the show…!! Please check your emails or news feed regularly as we will post important information over the next couple of weeks. We will issue full information well in advance on all the do’s and don’ts by email, WhatsApp, Facebook and our news page at kidkast.ie. Book your tickets and remember classes run up to the end of June, so we will still have several weeks of classes after the show.
