Wizard Of Odd Showtime
We are very excited for our Show the Wizard of Odd tomorrow in the Barbican Theatre.
Reminder of rehearsal times., ages 4-5 & 6-7 from 2-3pm, all other classes 2-4pm. We ask that all students return to the theatre at 4.45pm sharp for showtime. Show commences at 5.30pm and doors for the public will open at 5pm, the duration is approximately 1.5 hours with interval.
All students should wear plain black (no logo’s) top’s and leggings (track bottoms or trousers for boys) to wear under costumes and facilitate quick changes.
Costumes have been allocated for each group. We have some extra costumes which will be distributed tomorrow. Individual characters have been allocated their costumes and should know what to wear.
Age 4-5 class: Munchkin costumes, we have coloured t shirts and will hand these out tomorrow. Green fairy skirts for “Dream is a Wish” to be worn with blacks.
Age 6-7 class: Munchkin Costumes
Green sparkly skirts for “One Short Day”
Age 7-10 class: Munchkin costumes (to include individual costumes ie Lullaby League, lollipop guild, mayor, coroner etc.)
Monkey costumes, we have wings and extra ears to distribute tomorrow.
Age 11+ class: Individual characters, blue skirts, with red underskirts and bandanas, grey dresses/skirts for twister (boy costume: we have grey top, blue track bottoms, red shirt & bandana)
Green costumes for Merry Old Land of Oz
Many of the costumes are hired and need to be returned on Monday. Make sure you have packed a change of clothing to ensure all costumes are left behind in the Theatre after the show.
Girls should wear hair half up/half down
Juniors (age 4-10) may wear a light make up, seniors should wear a full stage makeup.

Finally we have Stephen our school photographer on hand to take photographs of the show. We will post photos of the performance on our Facebook page as soon as Stephen processes them. We ask parents not to take photographs or video at the show. We have parents and guardians who do not want photos or videos of their children posted to social media and we must respect this. We will only process photos of those who have consented.
Please remember to bring your tickets, any tickets paid for online and not yet collected will be available at the door. A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase at the door if required, €10 each.
We are very excited to see this show, Annaleigh, Michele and all the students have been working really hard and it is a true team effort and collaboration between the dance & drama classes in Collon. We hope you all enjoy it.
