St Patricks Day Parade Arrangements 2019

NOTE THERE IS A FINAL REHEARSAL 4.30 to 6pm FRIDAY 15th IN OLD ABBEY DANCE STUDIOS ON SUNDAY THE 17TH.. STUDENT SAFETY COMES FIRST.. MEETING AT St Vincent De Paul Shop, OPPOSITE MOTHER HUGHES PUB ON THE NORTH ROAD AT 11AM. Please note this is different to other years, we are NOT meeting at the O’Raghaillighs GAA. Report to Wendy on arrival and please ensure you give her your name and number. The parade begins 12pm. The route continues down the North Road, across Fair Street, down Peter’s Street and Shop Street concluding on the North Quay. The parade takes between 1 to 1.5 hours to conclude....

RTE News looking to film students today at Kidkast

RTE News contacted us this morning and are looking to film in Old Abbey Dance Studios today for this evening’s news. They are doing a piece on the Drogheda St Patricks Day Parade and have asked if they could film a short piece showing our students preparing for the parade this Sunday. We are looking for students who have already emailed us to take part in the parade and you must be free to come to the studios for 2.30pm today. Students will need parental consent to be filmed. We expect this to be finished by 3.30pm.

Tonights Fashion Show At The D Hotel

This is only for those students performing tonight for the Fashion Show in aid of Cu Chulainn Blood Bikes in the D Hotel , Tonight Friday 8th March Rehearsal takes place in the D Hotel from 5.30-6pm sharp. Performers should be back in the Hotel by 7.30pm. Show commences at 8pm and should be finished by about 10pm. “Marry you” Bridal section will need white leotards, and tan jazz shoes. All Ireland Hip Hop Championships Trabolgan Cork

We are entering the All Ireland Hip Hop Championships again this year and this is open to all crew members. Always a fun weekend of curry chips and pumping beats our crews will be working hard over the coming months in preparation. We will depart early on Friday 4th and return on the evening of Monday 7th of October. The cost is €155 per person and this covers accommodation and entry to the competitions for the weekend. Kidkast Entry St Patrick’s Day Parade Drogheda 2019

Kidkast will be entering again this year in the 2019 Drogheda St Patrick’s Day Parade and Jennifer has been busy organising our entry. This is free and is open to all students age 7 years and over from both our Collon and Drogheda Schools. This is a huge event in the Kidkast calendar and really fun. New Hip Hop Crew Members

Opportunity to be part of our Competitive Hip Hop Crews. We are opening our crews to our students this week and next week (closes 7th March 2019) and after this crews will be closed to new members until November 2019. The annual Drama show “Past Tense” takes place on Sunday 10th March. We have two shows at 3pm and 6.30pm.
